Anyone managed to get selfbuild insurance that will cover long term European travel?

Aviva/Comfort just told us its not possible on this vehicle as we would be 'full timing' which I think is rubbish! Its just an extended tour.

I'm extremely frustrated. My current insurer is rubbish too and won't insure for europe for more than a few months

Just an update, the next quote I got only allows up to 90 days

yeh its very very annoying.

The last company I rang made it look hopeful, and the guy was helpful on the phone but said no way he could get a policy with more that 90 days euro cover for me until I hit 30 (im 29). Not sure why that makes a difference.

I don't know why they don't want my money! i am even willing to pay over the odds for this but no one is even offering me anything at the moment! I have 10years ncb on one policy, 5 or 6 on another and I even got another policy not used with 1 or 2 (from my old track car)...

try sureterm (google it) they are good for a first qoute but will give you a very high price next year for a renewal but threaten to go elsewhere and as if by magic all the special offers appear... good luck
