As we have decided to go out in the van for a picnic on Christmas day, For a change and to escape the Idiot box and rels drinking your best malts, I was wondering if anyone else was away in there vans over the hols, if so let us know what your doing.

Sounds like a good idea to me, but unfortunatly wife, kids, family, etc mean getting away for Christmas is a big no-no. Wishing you a great day out and hope the weather plays the game, cold, clear and frosty does me, not grey,wet and dreary. My sis and her husband went to Scotland to a campsite last New Year and ended up going to a concert where Lulu was performing. They only knew about this concert because my sis was eavesdropping as she usually does, and heard someone talking about it. They were very lucky to get any tickets! Best New Years Eve they have ever had!

We'll be wilding it in the Cairgorms from Dec. 27th for a few days . . . can't wait!!

Staying over Christmass near Glen Shiel...would be away longer but my son is heading south with wife and children...leaving me to feed his hens, geese and pigs - so no long escape.

We are home this xmas family dinner this year,New year we have four friends from Fort william staying and another couple coming with their motorhome for a couple of days.So looks like party time here.Then only four weeks and we are off for three months ...........Portugal...........cant wait.
