Did anyone see the Winter Rescue programme on Channel 5 last night it showed the Highland Council snowplough team from Applecross clearing the Pass of the Cattle eventually they got stuck in a huge snowdrift wedged on the crass barrier on one of the hairpin bends after 4 hours of digging they had to request help in the shape of a council JCB from
Applecross which dug them out when they got back to the top they closed the road until the snow melted.

Yes, I watched that Alf.

I was expecting to see a motorhome turn up and tow him out.

No Jim that was the one in Northumberland.
I must say I was impressed by his Snow Socks I did not have much faith in them untill I saw that last night.
I might look about for some but I dont want to have to jack the van up to fit them

Yes, I watched it. I must admit when we travelled over the pass I never gave a thought to those who kept it clear in winter.Such cheerful chappies as well!!
