Caravan Club Site at Southport, taking new MH away for first time so wanted to be near
to facilities in case anything does not work. Thinking of it as a shake down and a snag
list generating weekend, although the weather looks to be set fair, so may soak up a few
rays.

I'm driving this on Saturday
Still like to do the odd weekend to keep my hand in in case I want to go back to part time HGV/ part time lazing about!
Always seem to get a call when the weather's looking nice for the weekend though........

I am using up my annual leave, and have 5 days off (starting today) then in for two days then off for four so ill be away a lot after tomorrow

Actually the Volvo is long gone from Barrys fleet but was the only picture I could find on google images....
Mostly Renault Premiums and MAN with one Scania R470 (with the weird auto box and clutch) now but I think I'm out on a Renault this weekend. They did have two V8 topliners up until a couple of years ago which were my favorite drive.

Ahh the opticruise, our P270 and P280 26T rigids have that.....I cannot get used to them TBH.
Mine is a R500 tho had a FM440 before
I started with a FL220, hated it, then moved onto tickers, first with a DAF CF 320 which couldnt pull the skin off a rice pud let alone a trailer, then the Volvo, now my Scania

Only been driving trucks about 7 years now - started as a part time job for a friend driving 8 wheelers and a CAT2 low loader to finance my european travel habit but now gone back to a full time sales job with the odd weekend on the bulkers.
The low loader work was probably the most fun with some unusual loads
Hope to get back to the part time lifestyle in a couple of years or so.

TBH I always wanted to go 'overload' but I am in a stable and securish job at the moment so dont wanna rock the boat, but its my dream to go heavy.

Lucky beggars, can't get out this weekend, F1 GP weekend to watch, the van is in for repairs tomorrow pending a possible trade in for a newby, oh and the wife gave birth on Wednesday, she picks her moments!
