Anyone in Trondheim?

Anyone in Trondheim, Norway that could take us to a disposal point to empty our loo please? We broke down 3 days ago and are parked up for at least 2 weeks in Fiat forecourt in Trondheim. Can use their loo in the day but our's will need emptying soon.

Not the most inviting request I know but are getting desperate now 🥴. Long story but Fiat want to charge us about £8000 to repair the robot on the automatic gearbox without even checking the wiring first. We are waiting to be shipped either home or to Belgium where we have friends as no one here in Trondheim can even look at it for 2 weeks then they have to order parts they say and that can be 2 weeks as well. So bit of a nightmare to say the least!

Take it with you when you go to the loo. Should not think anyone will complain if you leave the place clean and tidy afterwards. Failing that get a taxi and ask them to take you to nearest public toilet. Hope you get sorted soon.

Crikey. We had our clutch fail in Corsica and the MH was off the road for 16 days ... we thought this was a nightmare. Your situation is worse and potentially far more expensive! At least no one is ill. You must know Trondheim pretty (too) well!

Solution

Have you a bike? If not then use one of the many city bikes (Trondheim bike app) not expensive. Strap the cassette and cycle to Trondheim city motorhome camping. Use the facilities there. No fee and no entry barrier.
We were there last week.

We don't have bikes and are about 9km from Trondheim on the outskirts. We have sorted it now. We just stalked into the Fiat toilet and locked it while emptying the cassette. Obviously left it cleaner than before we went in. They have been so unhelpful in Fiat saying we couldn't empty it there. They close at 2 today and don't open until Monday and while there are odd places not too far away we can use, it doesn't help us in the evenings.

Good luck

Been there done it with the breakdown/ repatriation malarkey.
Only consolation is you will not forget this part of the holiday.

Good Luck

How long did it take you to get picked up? They are talking 2 to 3 weeks before we get moved off Fiat's forecourt. Seems a bit long to me. We want to get taken to Belgium not home so not even out of mainland Europe.

Long time.
Mine took longer as there were bank holidays and inspections and extra long vehicle.
If you can bear it here is my sorry tale.

It lived to fight another day though.
