Went to the Eifel region in July from Calais.
Stopped in Aalst in Belgium on the way, by the Zwembaad.Probably in the database here or in campingcar-infos.com

Heimbach and Rurberg nice places in the Eifel.

The usual blue hook up plug worked fine everywhere we went, but I'd take a 2 pin euro plug as well in case.

sorry cant help as i use dunkirk and go straight over to E Germany. i love camping in germany. have fun

You will need an adaptor for Germany. The 2 round pin type. German Electricity is 210v but no harm done if your appliance is 230v.

Trier/Mosel

I like to follow the Mosel route Trier to Koblenz ,not too far to get there either and very scenic with plenty of stop over places.(Stellplatz)
Trier is the old capital.
The Mosel is not industrial with a railway line by it's side like the Rhine.
Fuel up in Luxembourg.Check prices online just before you go.
Keep your plastic bottles in Germany and refund in automatic machines in foyer of shop, they often take bottles bought in another shop.
The deposit is often more than the contents!! even in Lidl etc
Check out low emission towns/cities you may need a sticker.
Don't think that you will be able to ditch unsorted waste in a bag they are very hot on recycling.
Enjoy

German Trip

Hi Jon

We traveled Via Calais to Belgium down to germany on the Rein in to Austria and on to Italy We set off on 13th July 2011
and are still just into France on way back now, we are on our 10th site and they all used standard 3 pin motorhome plug the last time I saw a 2 pin was in France last year I have a short 3 pin to 2 pin adapter and may have to use it as i get into the wine areas .I had 2 sites with 3 pin sockets that had reverse live & neutual as picked up by my tester and had to buy a small 3 pin to 2 pin to so i could turn it right .Don,t trust any plugins take tester with you . cost £9.00p
at home. Ps the 3 to 2pin in Italy was 18 Euros every thing is pricey in ITALY.
Germany has good Autoroutes and no Tolls like France Austria use vinettes a 8Euro for up to 3500 wt Switzaland is very pricey too + tunnel tolls. go to good camper shop in UK it's cheaper.
As for Fuel Belgum Germany about 1 42p Austria 1.36 Italy 1 43p to 1.50p My last fill up near Monoco 1.46.I filled up as I was told France was 1.60p plus.
As for camping,( camping club International) from 1st September go down or Use stelplaze Quite cheap
Any more imfo please ask cheers snowbirds.
