Hi Mickymoor,
We live in Pickering N .Yorks about 80 miles from Durham and would love to have visit from yoursleves. However van at repairers for the next two weeks in Lincon so not much use to you at the moment. However if no one else helps out before we get it back, your welcome to come down and have a demo.
Regards,
Wanderer

I'm probably further away and the truck is in storage in Huddersfield but mine isn't the type that you can use while moving.
We should be up at spiers house CCC site over new year though.

i know pickering fairly well as i go metal detecting nearly every weekend at malton or general area . if nobody else within the same range does not help i will take you up on your kind offer The Grand Wanderer (is yours inmotion and how old is it ?) but thanks also to BedfordMJ for your reply.
i phoned roadpro this morning to speak to the guy i dealt with a message was taken to phone me back (still waiting).

let me know if you will defo be going there bedfordmj and i will call round to see yours (is it the 40cm fixed camos ?) if you have a mobile no i could call you when i will be coming if thats ok ?.
its good that people are willing to help on here.

I need to get it booked but should be going, yes it's the 40cm fixed dome. I'll send you a message when i've booked it with my mobile.

its been on 4 years but had bother every year, leasure power fitted it they bought it off roadpro, everytime i had a problem they sent me back to roadpro as all they would have done is take it off and send it to roadpro to fix.To go back to roadpro again is a 6 hour round trip and another £80 in derv.
ive spoke to roadpro who have said that on the last fix (sent back to camos in germany £150 to repair ) that they had changed the pcb board / new reciever and something else fixed it worked once when i refitted on the roof now finds nothing and sounds like its drilling a hole in the roof. perhaps now you can understand why im p***ed off with this.
ive had 3 offers of help up to now which i much appreciate but they cannot help til the new year .
could relly do with sorting this before xmas if anybody else can help.
regards

pretty poor these things are very expensive. Weird as touch wood mine has been fine.

will pay you that visit if nobody gets back to me.how old is your camos ?.

Will be just over 2 yrs old. You'll only be able to hear it inside. I'm not sure what use it will be seeing one working.

just need to hear it running to compare it to mine so that i have some comparison as to is it quieter or the same as mine when i report back to roadpro.

Camos Dome

Hi Mickymoor,
I now have a better understanding of your problem.:p:p
It seems to me that your contract was with Leisure Power as they supplied it to you and they fitted it. Where they got it from is irrelevant.:cool:
I personally would consult a solicitor (They should give you the initial consultation for nothing) with a view to sueing Leisure Power for the replacement of your dish with a brand new one correctly fitted and compensation for your time and expense. Either that or get in touch with Dom at the BBC.
Regards,
Wanderer

I think i may have solved one of my problems now, ive been up on the van roof today after shifting 1 foot of snow to get at the dome.
opened it tried it various positions with no luck still sounded like it was trying to drill a hole thru roof so decided to take it off ready to ship back.
I loosened all the screws and started to tip it over to get it thru the heki rooflight when a piece of solder fell out so i tried it again and lo and behold it now works.
Will try it over the next few days to make sure its ok.

`Curiouser and curiouser!' cried Alice (she was so much surprised, that for the moment she quite forgot how to speak good English):cool:

Glad it's sorted. Mine - touch wood has not been any problem at all.
