Any Radio Hams out there??

I was a radio Ham, but havent been into it for 8-9 years or so now.
Since everything went PC based, personally i think it took the skill out of the hobbie.

Anyhow, the bit of kit on ebay is used to re-programme walkie talkies.
We have them at work, you buy a band of frequencies from the DTI and then programme the radio to suit the band allocated.

This allows for multiple channels to avoid interferance and allow different users different channels on their personal radio.

We use them on a plant basis, to allow different plants on the same site to use the bend of frequencies allocated to us.
