Another ferry starts next week on the Dover Calais route which will help to fill the gap left when Seafrance stopped operating at the end of last year. For those of us that go across regularly this is good news because it stops P and O monopolising the route and increasing their prices. Nothing like a bit of stiff competition!
The ferry is the "Deal Seaways" which will be operated by DFDS Seaways/LD Lines from 27th April. She will be used on the Dover Calais route. This is not a new ferry - she was built in 1992 and more recently was called the "Barfleur" operating between Poole and Cherbourg.
Thought you all might want to know!!
