hi, we have a 2000 swift. my problem is the bathroom light has stopped working. all the other lights in the van are ok, and when we removed the light fitment and attached it to a 12 volt supply it works ok. the supply to the bath light is about 1.2 volts. any suggestions please.:help:

I presume you have checked any relevant switches. Also check the earth connection. Is it normal bulb or LED ? The slightest resistance in the circuit will cause an LED to fail.

Check the caravan fuse box and the light local earth if it has one.

It may be on fuse circuit not with other lights but another accessory you don't use much, which will have also stopped working.

(also worth checking is the light switch for the bathroom light - eg dirty or broken contacts)

So as you have found, the light hasn't stopped working, the supply has failed.

If there is a separate switch, pull the switch and check the voltage into the switch and out of the switch (probably best to reconnect the light for this test.
If there is still no supply coming in then it will either be looped from the nearest switch or light, or comes direct from the fuse panel. Either way, there is nothing to do but to work back towards the battery to find the problem. First check though might be that it hasn't got a separate circuit and/or separate fuse that might help narrow it down.

thanks for all your suggestions , will investigate further and let you know.:D
