going for a week on the 5th June wild camping, any does and donts to watch for, haven't been for years

Watch out for the Police speed traps! The only places I have been done is North Wales!! Having said that try the seafront car park at Beaumaris and work your way around the East coast.

Two nice WC POIs I stayed at on Anglesey earlier this month.

Hi! With the Llanfaethlu location you have mentioned can you please note there are no facilities or bins and it’s actually on private land.
it’s directly outside my family home and we are seeing a disgusting increase in litter and waste being left - as well as irresponsible parking.
I’m not doing this to be the ‘fun police’ but it’s genuinely getting too much and I know my neighbours will (and have previously) just call the police as there is a notice to say no overnight parking!
please everyone be considerate when visiting :)

Hi this post is over three years old, all you have done is bump this post back onto the main page bringing these locations to the attention of many people that would not have found this post.

Anglesey has become increasingly difficult for wild camping, particularly this year with enormous increases in visitor numbers and in vans. More and more carparks have now got height barriers and many pull ins / lay-bys have 'No overnight' signs. Llandonna beach has been mentioned in this thread and sadly due to the abuse of a number of van stop overs disposing of their rubbish, parking and causing obstructions and even disposing of their toilet waste before departure some locals temporarily blocked access from the road with placing boulders to prevent van access!
There are a small handful of places to park but the sheer volume of van owners looking for them mean there is no guarantee. This year, I would advise trying the CL sites that have limited places but charge typically £15 a night and guarantee a worry free, good nights sleep!

Just to clarify the vast majority on this forum are in self contained units and no facilities or bins is of no consequence as we don't require them. I am not arguing your point over private land.

You are preaching to the converted. The poor behaviour of some is spoiling your neighbourhood but please sympathise as they are spoiling our way of life
