After spending some time on the site I realise it is for moterhomes. We now have a caravan due to health reasons [we needed more room ] I understand that free camping is not as easy in a van as in a moterhome but would still like to be part of your site as alot of information is relevant to both
 
I have a motorhome and have never be wilding yet, It's a good site for information, and who knows i might start one day. :)
 
Yes we used to wild camp when we have a moterhome but now use camp sites We travell in Uk and Europe from April till October. Our caravan and car is in storage. this is the 5th. year and we love it . so excited about going to Spain and Portugal this year
 
There are quite a few tuggers that frequent our pages, after all the workings inside a Motorhome and Caravan are remarkably similar!!!

Tuggers are usually hung, drawn and quartered by motorhomers but you seem like a nice person, so we will let you off this time. ;)

If you stay hitched to the towcar you are in a similar position to a motorhome ie parked. If you unhitch you are more likely to attract unwanted attention, but given the right spot unhitching can be done too.

Would an ex-Southerner that's migrated North, with two lurchers, be regarded in the same light? :)

dear ambrose if you want to visit devon during your trip you can stay with us for free.
we have a nice big car park in a very rural location. you can park the caravan up and go off for days out in
your car exploring exmoor, dartmoor and the stunning north devon coastline----bring ya surf board.
find us in the pub stopover section. the portsmouth arms hotel devon.
wherever you decide to go have a great trip.

oh i'm upset now.....i've decided to put my flat cap and hovis loaf in the bin and crawl into my nothern shack in shame lol
