Not only in India -- an ex RN officer developed the same technology independently in UK and might even hold the UK patent. AFAICT, this might unlock the possibility of electric mohos since swapping out anodes would be done at 'anode stations' in the same sort of time as it takes to fully fuel a diesel vehicle from empty. Since this would also avoid every man and his dog simultaneously charging their cars at home at the same time, it could also go some way towards protecting the national grid from the massive demand that BEVs imply.
