some times it pays to join one of the clubs if u have a few places of intrest you would like to visit but find some were to stop hard you can go on a rally in the area usually for few pounds anight quite often with something going on as well cuts the price off stopping down also meet new freinds

i am in the caravan club..they have certificated sites which permit a maximum of 5 units but no tents. with electrics etc the usual price is around a fiver per night... i am on one as we speak !!!

Alternatives to wild

Much as I hate doing so, joining the Caravan Club at least means I can find a stopover in the Lakes...a convenient break on trips south.

Staying on site

HippyHappy, We are one of a kind. I too, would never pay to stay on a site. But then, circumstances or preferences arise where our MH'ers buddies do so, perhaps of children, being one example. In my case, every £ I save is an extra liter of diesel for another 10Km. The most important thing is we enjoy it, what ever way we do it.

Four Words

Wild Camping for Motorhomes. I cant believe you've got the neck to come on here using the word "Caravan"!!!! Its got to be a windup!!! Why hasn't the Admin put a stop to this foul language????

hey journeyman !!! get a life !! i started out with a caravan and progressed, by the way the CARAVAN club also admit motor homes and tailer tents to its mighty portals...happy new year !!

Superb Journeyman.........Letter to the Times methinks is in the offing......

now look here mr journeyman, when you have done as many posts as me (tongue in cheek here ) then you can say outrageous !!! meanwhile we both have a lot of catching up to do with that whippersnapper virgil ! rock on and a happy new year to you !

Alternatives

Getting back to the original post by Mr English's. Its quite simple - There is no alternative to WILD Camping. As for all the "posts" from S4K, where did you make these from? In your caravan, parked in your driveway? Or was it Wilding it in the Caravan Club? No need to reply, we know the answer!!
Happy New Year to all True Wilders.

nobody really wants to pay on site and it is nice when u dont have to but sometimes circumstances dont let you go wild nice to see so many do about time this country followed france

I'll give you blinkin whippersnapper ;¬) ... I have just checked in the dictionary what whippersnapper really meant and I was quite surprised!

"Main Entry: whip·per·snap·per
Function: noun
Pronunciation: 'hwi-p&r-"sna-p&r, 'wi-
Etymology: alteration of snippersnapper
: a diminutive, insignificant, or presumptuous person"

Whippersnapper

Being partially German, and because of my accent, we pronounce it as:-
Whip-her-smack-her. I might as well jump in with you kinky lot

WiFi works all round the world. Hot spots are usually found in populated areas,
i.e. Airports, Hotels, restaraunts, city centres etc etc. Oh and dont forget your Caravan club. Try wild camping in a wood, on top of a hill or at the bottom of a glen and tell me you can find a hot spot. I dont think so!!! So your last comments imply you are not Wilding it at all. But please advise us all of your wildest hot spot and what ISP did you connect with???

my best wild spot was a place called tolsta in the western isles...the nearest hot spot was at an internet cafe in stornoway. surely you can realise that the best wild spots are nowhere near civilisation.\you just need to have a little patience before posting..this correspondence is now closed !!
