is it officialy allowed to wild camping in ierland?

Don't think it's officially allowed, apparently tolerated in the more remote areas but we had no luck, in fact found it hard to park anywhere due to height barriers. Probably due to the number of Travellers around.

Welcome to this site :)
I’ve never been overthere (yet); but as far as I understand wild camping is tolerated in more remote areas, (always be discreet and ask permission if you're unsure). Obviously they make a clear distinction between camping and overnight parking like in most countries -except for Holland. :eek:
Irish will correct this if untrue :confused::eek:
(PS: ‘Nelleke’ seems Dutch to me – of ben ik verkeerd ?:confused:)
