We arrived at Lochore from a wild night in Elie, and what a pleasant surprise we got.
The whole place has changed beyond recognition, from what was there before.
First there are 18 pitches all hard standing with grass area separating each pitch.
8 pitches have EHU and they have plans to add EHU to more pitches.
They now have their elsan point within the Aire, and in front of this there’s a large drive over get water disposal point.
Next to this there is a freshwater tap.
They are considering a toilet block with two toilets.
There’s a barrier which is fob controlled.
You pay a £20 deposit for the fob.
The office is opened from 0830 to 1630, but access can be arranged out of hours if required.
The place looks absolutely fantastic, way better than before.
It’s £14 without EHU, and £20 with EHU.

Indeed, it is very nice i think and I do like the little grass areas for each van.
One of the improvements which might sound minor but I think makes it so much better is the new surface - replacing the very rough road surface with fine gravel. (that old surface used to really bug me!).

I think it is fair to say, Lochore improvements are in part due to input from Gordon, The Laird, and yourself Bill. With you both having various discussions with the officials that matter.

I think they have that rule as an official reason to get rid of people they don't want to stay. They extend stays on request for considerate campers
