I had a warning about Storm Martinho, by text, here in Silves, for 19/20 March.We had plenty of rain and severe wind on the 19th,blustery and heavy showers on the 20th and 21st. Rained a bit this morning. Saw a band late lunch and they had to cover the kit for 10 mins during the first set of three,and got rained off at the end of their last set. Again only for 10 mins. I then walked drunkenly back to town for an hour in pleasant broken sunshine.
Forecast is better tomorrow and improving. Think the storm warning is expired.

I think we got it.....79mph winds, torrential rain for last few days ...since Thursday (I think...seems like weeks!) Flooded adega, moat round barn where usually bone dry. It rained hard but more spasmodically overnight, thank goodness. We also had a weather warning but only saw it yesterday Just listening and looking out of the window was sufficient. Sun shining now, stream is gushing, Dave planting some bushes we bought yesterday....so bored with wet, we visited the garden centre!
