Town Council clerk Lindsay Lee added: “A constant stream of vehicles means the sea wall is eroding.
“The damage caused is increasingly costly to repair and the burden falls on local ratepayers. Some people stay there for three or four days at a time simply because they don’t want to pay to park at an official site at the other end of town.”
why should we want to pay to stay at the campsite, most motorhome owners would like to be able to use the independence their vehicles are designed for
*****, the great thing about this location is you CAN'T block anyones view! The only people along the sea wall is the sailing club, and as their club house is below the sea wall they tend to look out across the River Alde which is where they do their sailing!
As for eroding the sea wall, the side we all park on is edged by a huge concrete kerbing, the other side is 'soft' so nobody drives close to the only side that could erode... they just don't want a bunch of free loaders spend money in their shops!!
Now if you want to spend your money by staying in the local campsite... that's fine, but do something for free heaven forbid!

Hopefully, I've got a Google earth picture on here for you: As you can see it is really overlooked by the local residents of seagulls, curlews, shoite hawks etc
