Aldeburgh single handed and query re dvd player

Well Pa Clampett and baby Clampett are off to the land of muck and bullets again to see the outlaws and abandoning me and the hounds later this month.

Not wishing to languish at home with the sky tv - have decided to brave wildcamping with harry and dave (westie and old english sheepdog respectively). So all three of us will be off to Aldeburgh to park on the seafront (hopefully the council havent scuppered my plans by banning m/h parking there yet). Only off for five days and will take plentiful supply of books (as tv only runs on 240volt).

I have a dvd player which should run off of 12volt but for some reason when i plug it in it doesnt work - i wonder would this be as it is running through the transformer it comes with - and is there a way round it. Issue is that otherwise i cant watch my huge supply of "24" dvds other than for 2 hours or from the cigarett lighter (long way from sofa and chilly up that end) - and as much as i love the pub......

Going to be a bit mean with the shower front and try to use toilets of local establishments as dont want to end up with no water and a full cassette - yep know it sounds pathetic but any hints and tips would be gratefully received

Shower

Is there a local swimming pool, were u could have a quick dip and use there showers. Also you can buy solar showers, which u can hang up,but you could take one of these filled up, just add drop of hot water out of kettle.Capacity 20 litres price 7.99 enough for 2 showers out of one bag. These are great for abroad in summer as well, fill up when filling tank and lie on roof during the day. Can hang of roof rack or ladder ,have one out side not filling waste tank neither.www.argos.co.uk or in store.

Aldeburgh

The first car park coming down off the spit on the right (where the buses turn round) has toilets that are open during the day so you can call in and empty the loo - as I know mine won't last a week!
