Alarm Issue

Locked the van yesterday which automatically sets the alarm.

It beeped twice as usual then the hazard lights flashed on longer than normal and a continuous beep justcontinues.

Checked doors were all closed, checked step had retracted etc, just keeps doing the same thing.

My only resolve was to put the steering lock on, put the ignition key in the ignition (it’s a Merc and has one of those big computer like keys) then lock all doors from the lock button on the dash, then get out and shut the drivers door and use the manual key to lock the drivers door.

The obvious is one of the sensors isn’t setting but I’m at a loss to see which.

I’m away in the van from tomorrow and could really do with a resolve today.

Any ideas?

Have you tried using spare remote, it could be the battery is low in your remote. Also it sounds like vehicle fitted sensors in Canbus are ok, if you have additional sensors fitted it’s possibly one of them.

Your right but
1. I locked all on central locking, opened drivers door (other stay locked) then manually locked drivers door
2. Even if passenger and hub doors were unlocked they are tight against a wall anyway.

Well strangely enough I made the time to look at it.

Went out tried it and it just works fine.

Open/closed 40 times or more and no issues

When we used to sign off problems at work Kev, if the problem had no known reason behind it and it didn't reoccur we would sign it off as YYGT.

(Yeah you get that)

Just hope it doesn’t start doing it again tomorrow when I’m at Snetterton, I wouldn’t be popular

Don't even ask about the Henley WC meet Kev where I definitely wasn't popular - I was the only one who slept through it and I was in the van!
