Advice please for motorhome first timers

Hello to everyone! Iam new to the forum and new to camping. My husband and I have just baught our first mobile home after years of owning a static caravan. We would really appreciate ANY advice, hints and tips, places to go, things like prices to stay on sites and ANYTHING you lot would like to educate us with

Just get out there and try it out for yourself and enjoy
I take it that when you say you have a mobile home that you mean a motorhome of some sort of configeration
Just read the web site and you will pick up lots of advice and places to stay.

Ideas for keen novice

Welcome to the forum,i haven't been a member myself for long but have found this site a boon for ideas.I see on your profile you have three children so keeping them occupied if they are camping with you would be important.As well as this site there is another site that may be of interest to you,www.youngcaravanners.org they have lots of quizzes and games to keep kids from getting board.Browse the photo section on this site to get ideas from other members is always a good place to start.In the last 2 months i have had a couple of trips to scotland,caerleverock on the solway coast and megget reservoir,1 to whinlatter forest in the lake district.We have a 3 year old grandaughter so when she is with us we go to sites rather than wildcamp usually the haven sites in the north of england you can get some good deals on camping via their website www.haven.com mondays to fridays for 4 nights £40-£50.Just had a quick peek at the haven site and they are offering 4 nights next week monday to friday for £16 at various locations in england and scotland but you can spend alot while there as these are very commercial sites and are all about making money,so enjoy the new van and the site.good luck Andy.
