Hi looking for advice do I get a submersible pump and solar storage bag I have a shower cubicle but need help please

Hi, we use a plastic container (small waste bin) and a submersible pump. 2 kettles of cold water and one of hot gives us 2 showers.

Hi and welcome aboard, just realised this is your first post, whilst I have no experience of the problem to be solved many very sensible and practical people are on here and I'm sure will offer many solutions.

@Debs had a really good removable internal shower set up in her previous van.

Debs is currently working on self-building a new van, might be worth sending a message asking about it though?

We are currently self building and now have a shower room! But we are the same cannot decide what shower would be better and cheaper

I'm not sure you can easily get a sub pump and solar bag to work, an inline pump should be OK, but to be honest we can't be bother with the faf and are happy with the Truma.

In the past we have used a pump, filled the kitchen sink with warm water, we stand in a small paddling pool with a a shower curtain protecting the seats. It works!

use a pigtail on the end of a standard shower hose to connect it to a submersible pump https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-Wate...869095?hash=item5951f17967:g:ozEAAOSw~W9fCYhB connect the pump , with an inline switch and fuse , to the 12v supply . use a container , we have a 10ltr ,to mix up water to required temp, drop in the pump , switch on , get wet , switch off ,lather up , switch on , rinse off. cheap set-up and you can be as miserly or generous with the water as you want .
make sure the pump you buy fits into the container

Thank you for your help I have ordered the pump and have a container. Could you explain what a pig tail is please I am blonde

A pigtail is a bit of hose and connection to the pump from a shower head, someting you will have to make up your self.

best thing is to go into a plumber's merchant [not B&Q ] ,buy a shower fitting ,and ask for a connector to join the shower hose to hosepipe which will fit the pump outlet .to me a pigtail is a plumbing fitting with a corrugated end that is designed for a hosepipe to be pushed on and held with a hoseclip

to a plumber pigtail is any short bit of flexible pipe that can be bent into a full circle

If all else fails. Look on you tube.
Hugh Tube* ( channel name ) uses a shower bag pump from Decathlon £35ish.
