:)
Hi guys. I have a cheapo 2 stroke generator 850 watt ,its has not got a 12volt outlet.(not much good for charging anyway).I sometimes camp on my own and would like to recharge a separate leisure battery from it.
I dont trust its "dirty" waveform to plug into my onboard (expensive to repair) charging system.Has anyone found a mains chrger to use via a cheap inverter. ( I have a 300 and 600 watt square wave form, works ok on tv and dvd) I have some modern elecronic chargers but fear the generator may damage them.It has been suggested to put on a regular light bulb or heater
to smooth out the waveform.
Any ideas?????
Rick

I used an extension lead with anti surge sockets, then a 3 pin plug to hook up cable adapter. I only used it once on my motor home but didn't have any problem with the electronics. This was also with a cheap 850 two stroke genny. Also let the genny warm up to idling speed before you plug it in.

John.
