I think I read on here about renewing by bank transfer instead of phoning. Anyone got the details?

Me too, but she’s not always that easy to get hold of.

I email my phone No. she will then ring & I will give the card details.

Also saves on the phone bill.
 
Renewed by email. Thanks for the info - much easier than doing it by phone.
 
Thanks Chris. Actually, I think the email was easier - just had to supply membership number, card number and expiry date. Then received email back, in English, saying “Done”.
 
I discovered that if you create a personal log in to ADAC you are able to check, amongst other things, your membership status.

If you pay by bank transfer you can tell that your membership has been renewed once ADAC have processed the payment.
 
Was getting worried that I have not had a membership renewal application & no replies to my emails. My concern was heightened by rumours that they were not renewing memberships outside Germany.
I phoned +49 94152344 & spoke to a charming lady called Sylvia who spoke English & dealt with it immediately.
Ann-Katrin is on holiday, hence the non reply to emails

Just seen this on SBMCC ADAC are no longer accepting memberships outside Germany from the end of this month Sorry, you do not have permission for that! Chappy told on the phone apparently. Don't know if the link will work if you're not registered. Mr B.

It relates to ADAC not accepting new members from outside Germany, AFAIK existing members are ok as long as they ensure no lapse in membership.
