ADAC breakdown services

Has anyone used ADAC, the German company, for breakdown services? The only problem is that the site is in German. They are supposed to offer very good rates for Eurpean recovery of Motorhomes

Not used them personally although we did take out cover with them for our trip to Morocco last year. I do know of a couple of people who've called them out, both were impressed with the service. If you don't speak German they'll put on an English speaking operator for you.

If you contact them via their website they will reply in English and are happy to answer queries.

Their rates and coverage are very good, I'll sign up with them again for our forthcoming trip to North Africa.

I am a member but never had to use them.

From what I have heard from friends, you get the usual German efficiency where ever you breakdown in Europe, and they are alot cheaper than the AA.

All in all, saved around £200 including allowing around £100 for health cover, for half a days work

Depends on what it is; if it is Château Infuriater, described variously as a good fighting type wine(the bottle makes a handy club) or as being unfit for human consumption, at only €0.04 per litre, then rather a lot

Comfort told me that they would do it for a few extra quid, green card and comprehensive. Not going this year but who knows in the future.
They will also do Turkey, Israel & Iceland .
Think it was either £17 or £37, can't remember old age and all that

We were with Saga who included it free on the Green Card with comprehensive cover. Currently we are with NFU Mutual who will include Morocco but only 3rd party.

We belong to ADAC (Plus???) and used them once in Morocco. They sent a recovery vehicle 150km to pick us up and dropped us at the Ford dealer - 300km round trip. Cost -- $0.00
