Driving up the motorway today when the ABS light came on. After considering the options I carried on till we got home. Turned the engine off and then back on again and ABS light still on but not as bright as when you first turn the engine on. Turned off the cruise control and the ABS light went off. Looks like something else to get fixed in the new year along with the parking sensors that are just issue a constant noise when you select reverse. I know there is a company that fix them by return just seem strange I would have thought that they would have fixed this old problem on a 16 plate vehicle.

I had the abs light come on on our last trip to France not long after setting off from home but as i have driven vehicles for many years that weren’t fitted with abs without any problems, I just carried on with our trip, this also stopped the cruise control from working.
On mine it turned out to be a rear speed sensor that had failed which is a 15 minute job to change.
You just need to have it plugged into a obd reader but one that can read the whole vehicle and not just the engine,
What base vehicle is it ? As I have a reader that covers all Mercedes cars and vans

It’s a Fiat Ducato. The light is glowing dimly and goes off when you turn the cruise control off so it is the dreaded instrument cluster bug.
