Spent two nights in Aberdour in Fife. Never been there before, so possibly we erred by heading into what was an empty car park on the left when we came in. Soon it was full of cars, and we would have problems trying to get out. We should have taken a left turn young a bend and parked there. This car park would start to fill at 6am with swimmers who would fill the carpark by about 7am, then about 8am it would be empty, only to fill again by 10am with dog walkers and day trippers. Nice restaurant called Sands on the beech nice food. Walked into Dalgety Bay on first day, then Burntisland on second day.

Haven't stopped the night there Bill, as it overlooks that dump called Edinburgh. Agreed, food is good within the cafe.

Arthur’s seat was in clear view, couldn’t miss it. The walk into Burntisland was really good coastal walk alongside the railway. But I have never seen so much ivy in all my life. For two miles all you saw was ivy everywhere, really weird Terry.

Bill, I hope Arthur had his trousers up when you were viewing his seat. I know the path you mean, follows shoreline, not done it yet, so cannae comment on Ivy.

It’s good to know it’s open again - they were resurfacing it for a while, so it was closed. I’ve stayed in the bottom car park. It’s very quiet overnight, but from about 7am it’s just as busy with swimmers and dog walkers, just more campervans and motor homes! I love it there, beautiful views 🧡

Don't turn left into the cafe area, turn right for a layby with a few places alongside the road. May also be possible to park at the end but some of that area has been blocked with large rocks.
