Just to warn anyone wanting to use this busy trans-pennine route.
Its currently closed since monday 6th June, and will be until 10th July. Its closed between Bolton Abbey & Fewston Res. They're rebuilding the slopes again at Blubberhouses.
Alternative routes are A56 via Ilkley/Otley or B6165/B6265 via Pately Bridge
 
I travelled by car in the area yesterday. Some HGV drivers were ignoring the diversion signs to find a route on minor roads and creating long tailbacks. (sat-nav mentality?).
If you have to travel in this area it is definatly quicker to plan ahead and avoid the minor roads.
