A strike in France.

My son has just informed me that he has been advised to warn tourists that there is talk of a strike covering the whole of France on Tuesday. Knowing how disruptive they can be we thought it best to pass this on to any of you already here or will be en route.

From what I understand and read on line its not a general just strike just Rail Europe Industrial Action in France – Tuesday 7th September

Industrial action in France has now been confirmed to be taking place on Tuesday 7th September. This will start at 20.00 on Monday 6th September and end at 08.00 on Wednesday 8th September. 3wheeler.

Thanks for that it doesn't surprise me. Don't think the natives are too happy with their leader at this moment in time.:
We've had a letter confirming that the teachers are on strike tomorrow, so as not to send our granddaughter in. I'm thinking that this action involves functioneers (government employee's) which could disrupt any form of travel.
From what you are saying we could be in for another one next week.
Lets keep fingers crossed and hope it all fizzles out.
