A New Year first for me, was to park up over night at the Holme Moss carpark near Holmfirth, Kirklees, West Yorkshire.
Found it when I was out on the motorcycle a while back, and decided it would be a good place to Wildcamp to watch the fireworks in the towns down the valleys.
We had a quiet start with the odd vehicle coming and going in the early evening, but soon got very busy near midnight and the change of year.
Some people just came to also watch the fireworks from above and others came to set off their own fireworks. A superb sight to see too.
Spoiled somewhat by our leisure battery dropping to 9.5v and switching off our heating system, meaning I had to occaisionally start up the vehicle engine to top up the battery.
Breakfast was skipped because of the problems, but the whole trip was worth it.
