A little Lesson For Fishing men

Please remember that when your over here and want to do some fishing dont take any notice what your told in the fishing tackle shops. I meet someone when fishing last week that was told he did not need a licence to fish, Now it is only the 3rd time in 20 years i have been asked to show my licence but on this day the police came down and went along the beach asking to see the licence there was about 20 fishing i tried to tell him to leave his rod and walk away till they had gone but he said the shop told him he did not need a licence because he was a holiday maker he ended up getting a 50 euro fine and all the stuff he brought in the shop taken away. These Licenses are also needed for fresh water, :wave:

Cheers ken I’d give the world to be fishing on a nice beach somewhere in Spain right now thanks for the tip I’m a fisherman when I go on holiday and always stick with the local rules I’m gonna be fishing off key largo next week I’ve had a couple of sailfish some big snapper and my claim to glory a 200 tuna but my favourite is Dorada but I’m after a tarpon this time cheers

Much cheaper and easy to go to fish mongers,all that fafing about with hooks bait to catch nothing only the cold or some poor sod passing by.:lol-053:

Also worth noting there is no National Licence.You need one for each Province.

Bit of a nightmare if you're a fisherman and touring.

In ignorance I fished all across the northern Spanish coast, from the French border round to the Portugese border in 2008 without a marine licence.

I won't do it again and was lucky I got away with it.
