A Good Start :)))

sounds like it all went well! battery thing can't be helped and the fine thing sould come out ok,but like you say,BACK ON THE ROAD !

So pleased you had a great night and sorry to hear about the parking problems.

Can't wait to see Flora :)

Glad to hear you are back on the road again..we had to replace 2 batteries this year, bit of an ouch factor, but they should last a while. Hope we will catch up soon, are you going to the Fox & Goose?
Sue x

Aww Flora's first outing :) Shame about the battery but at least that's a box ticked and out of the way for a long time. Grrrr at the ticket but good luck with the appeal. I wonder if everyone else will claim too? It'll surely carry extra weight if they all explain the same unfair circumstances.

Ooh no -just started chucking it down with a vengeance here!!

Thanks everyone :dance:just realised all my terrible spelling and grammer mistakes in my original post, (sorry it must of been the sea air made me so sleepy when I got home last night:sleep-040:). I wished we could of stayed away more than just the one night but himbenny and work comittments (never mind). I always come home feeling completely refreshed and relaxed when we used to go away in our other van and this van makes life away even more comfortable. The difference its made to just have the simple things like running hot water:heart: and a comfortable bed:heart: is amazing. So yes although it was an impulsive decision and such hard work getting 'Flora' ready for the off, but she has been worth every single second of it.

I hope everyone enjoys their extra long weekend and of course enjoys their travels:drive:

I'm glad you are up and running again.

I bet you are thinking about your next trip now.

We have just arrived back from the Weymouth area and I'm looking forward to the next trip now.

We purchased our motorhome last autumn and our battery was duff and we didn't know until we used it.

By the way our van looks fab

Thanks Morgan hope you enjoyed your trip to Weymouth :drive: ....we want to see some pics :)) a friend often goes to Weymouth and tells me its a lovely place.

Hi herbenny,

We were in Bridport for the night and I was checking the POIs for the area which are thin on the ground so I started checking campsites, cl and cs and I went on the Haven website and they had an offer in Little sea Weymouth 4 nights Mon to Fri for £44 so I bit their hand off. I used to go to Haven sites when my children were young and they loved it but I was not sure about visiting them again.

It turned out to be great there was a shuttle bus into Weymouth every half hour and the site was excellent and we had a view of Chesil beach from our window. We didn't use the clubhouse in the evening as it is for children until quite late and all this sea air makes me sleepy, although there was free passes in the price. The bar was good and prices reasonable and fairly priced meals with several deals on.

I know this is not wild camping but I do both particularly if ther's a good deal on. I would not write off Haven and they have sites all around the country

I'm still trying to put photos on here as I have some really good ones of our puppy now 5 weeks.

I will try again.

Oh yes we want to see the puppy:heart:. Sounds like you had a nice time in Weymouth I would like to go some time. Our dog thought he had died and gone to heaven with all the long walks he had over the last couple of days. When we used to go away in our other van, after his morning walk, he would have weetabix for breakfast with hot milk:rolleyes: he really did think he was on his holidays :lol-053: Cheeky bugger
