Hi I have an FFB 660 old A class of 1990 vintage and although everything works fine and she goes like a train (2.5 fiat TD) i do find it a tad noisey, so at the last service i left the great big plastic undertray off which has to be removed to check the gearbox oil and alternator belt ect, the undertray or engine encapsulation if you like, covers the complete underside of engine and gearbox and has inch thick sound deadening foam stuck on the inside, but on an A class all that foam does is trap the noise under the plastic dash that sits between you and the engine, Iv now done 5000 miles with it off and it does make a noise reduction plus if you ever breakdown (heaven forbid) you can get to things which would have been impossible with it on, and at the roadside thats a big plus as you would really struggle to remove it without a ramp or a pit
