Well we've been full time for 92 days today  Has it been easy and all plain sailing? Not really :ROFLMAO: there have been a couple of problems in the van, the leisure battery gave up at Moffat but was easily rectified by ordering 2 new lithiums from Alpha at Black Friday prices, delivered next day to The Green Frog and fitted by Phil, we have had no problems since and managed at Bugsworth and Hereford without any hookup or starting the engine.
The heater started playing up a couple of days before Hereford New Year meet but again advice from Phil and Campervan Annie pointed to the cause and I put it right when I left Hereford.
The only other glitch was when we were visiting our son and I was taken into hospital a week before Christmas, I thought I was going to have to spend Christmas there but I got discharged at 6:00pm on Christmas Eve after promising to take things easy until they call me back this month, so technically Diane has been full time in the van 92 days and I've been full time for 85 days
Consequently we're currently spending our time in the Shropshire area waiting for them to call me with an appointment. Would we change anything? Not really we just love being in the van. So if you're thinking of going full time, stop thinking and just do it.

Regards,
Del

Really glad that you’re enjoying it and hope the medical side is sorted soon. Look forward to meeting up in a field sometime this year, or we’ve already booked for the tt!

Great for you....If we were to full-time in winter..It has to be lithium.
You will recoup the cost both financially (camp-sites)
But more importantly in terms of life-style.

We only FT in summer sour we save our pennies as we can live comfortably without Lithium
The first year/months will always throw up issues !

Nice one glad you’re getting some of the teething probs sorted out pity about the hospital stuff. I’m also happy with my new battery set up not had much chance to use them in anger but I’ve been running loads of tests on drive to get used to there capabilities and very happy with them. Hope youre medical stuff gets sorted soon and look forward to seeing you both at a rally somewhere.

Sorry to hear your trouble health wise ,but glad to hear your enjoying the rest ,bet dianne is enjoying peace n quiet
all the best to you both c u soon

Sorry to hear of your trouble and hope you get an early call back.
I have been on a waiting list for 2 years at Gloucester Royal for a hernia op.
2 hernias and 1 op done , said they couldn't do both together as it's too dangerous.
Even been in abergavenny hospital for a busted appendix op ... in there for a week 6 months ago.. still got the darn hernia ( they did fix the first hernia as they said it was a bad repair).... have since found out if you leave a&e , even if they say you can go home on a friday and they will phone monday to tell you what time to come back .....dont leave as it's a lie.....
Fulltime in winter ain't that good.....roll on spring as cant head for Spain yet as we have a new puppy,,,,

Good luck on the health front ,and I am glad you are settling into full time life the challenges are a little different , and can be a steep learning curve ,,,,mostly fun though

The very best of luck to you and Diane, hope all goes well for you both.
There is water and a dump point here at ours, we are just a couple of miles over the Shropshire border between Whichchurch and Nantwich.
Word of caution..
Ask Ral to empty your cassette, if you go there.. and make sure you're well insured..
Oh oh.. I'll have the nightmare again , tonight.
Enjoy your adventures.. We did 5 years in a 6 Metre van.
Best memories, ever.

Not good news on the medical stuff Del but it appears you and Diane are picking up the knack of full timing.

Best wishes from windy Walney and maybe see you sometime. Water and tip off available to you here as well should you want it.

Happy New Year.

H

Sounds like you made a great decision to FT! If in a house you would get hiccups too....boilers, leaks bills...so no different but more fun! Hope you get the Health back on track very soon!

Hope all goes well with health problems , not long now before the days gat longer .will look forward to you hearing your adventures when our paths cross ,Bazz n Chris.

I'm glad everything us going reasonably well.
Health problems can be troublesome but I'm certain you'll get it sorted and then you'll be free to capitalise on your new, freedom.
It will be great to see how you are after the first year.
Best of luck.
