I got my 017 battery from a place in Stockport £30 delivered , it was brand new but the stickers had been removed because it had been in a mill fire , but looking at it you cannot tell, and it is still working 100% . I will see if I can find any details if any are left :wave:

There is a difference between a Banner 017 and a no brand budget 017. I would rather have the Banner.

If comparing prices you should only compare like for like otherwise it sems pretty pointless really to me.

95 percent of us on here wouldnt know how to tell the technical difference between a rip off fashionable brand name battery , a run of the mill budget brand and a crap one....theyre black rectangular boxes.

we either buy whatever the guy down the road has in stock or the cheapest of the right size we can get delivered

Correct,i have had top name batts fail within a year,el cheepo in last car lasted 15 years.

I have 3 things I look at when buying batteries.

Make, I've had the case crack on a cheapo one.

Weight, the heavier the better.

Price, you'd be amazed at the offers out there!
