After a wee hiatus last year into Holland normal service is due to resume Friday. The annual Mul... pilgrimage to France is back on. 9 yrs since we did the Rhone Alps. So a 7hr run to Dover. Then a oner to Chamonix and about for 2 weeks bimbling about chillax in predicted 33C. Fridge struggles when we get into the 30s but not surprising given the temp differential it's trying to overcome.
Could we bimble there and back, of course. Will we miss bits on the way, of course. But we'll do the region we want to be in much justice in our 16 days. Hopefully find a few new WC's as usual for the collective, as it's a bit of a mission/challenge which our daughter now aged 13 is a seasoned aires/WCer.
Bit of a plan, but unlike other yrs of detailed planning, ( aires book / camperstop / archies and POIs), we're going with flow this time. 3 new Michelin region maps are a bonus to the collection.

Report back in September with some new finds fingers x'd.

Chrz Mul.

Have you tried fans in the top vent of the fridge ?

Ours was good to start with but is now brilliant with them fitted and coped well in the recent temperatures we`ve just been experiencing

Don't forget your Breathalyser kits maybe out of date :lol-053:

Watch out for the 50Mph speed limit, it may take you longer to get about.
Don't sleep on motorway Aires, don't get gassed, don't speak to foreigners.
..... Zzzz

Loved Chamonix stopped at the Aire next to the Aiguilie du Midi cablecar for a couple of days in 2016 great to walk into town and of course you have to do the cable-car, chairlift DSC_0461.jpg and the perspex box DSC_0488.jpg. France Italy and Switzerland in a day.

There,s a joint ticket for the glacier train and both cable cars works out bit cheaper an if you book Aquiel du Midi the day before you beat the queues

No time to fettle with fridge fans this time, but good idea.

Aiguilie du Midi, 20 years ago. got a piccy somewhere (old style, it'll have faded!). Be interesting to see how far the glacier has receded.

Cheers Folks, Mul.
