Another Bank Holiday. Should we set up a petition for every month to have 2 in it?

Anybody doing anything?

We haven't decided yet, but could do with airing the van before our Summer Hols. So will keep an eye on the weather.

no idea yet but fancy doing something exciting in the motorhome!!..
will have to think on and make some plans...:D

Hia

Down to somewhere near Ludlow to watch Georgie race.

Then if my sister and her hubby are near by on their canal boat might get a couple of days with them before going over to Mid Wales to spend sometime with my brother and his wife.

Have to be back for the 5th has daughter and spouse and grandson are taking Gladys to Norfolk for 10 days.

No I am not retired just the school holidays yipee :D:D:D:D

We,ve booked into Sandy Bay campsite that weekend:eek:, it's a commercial site:eek:, but the wife likes it,as do the kids.

It's only about 20 miles away so a bit less stressfull of a weekend away and the saving on fuel will go towards the next big one (Hayfield).

I have to accept that with my family situation, I have to mix it with campsites ,cheap and cheerfulls, and wildcamping:rolleyes:,but they do say that variety is the spice of life:p;):D

i think most of us do have to use sites sometimes especialy us with familys i used to live at sandy bay in my static then about 30 years ago only for 9 months it was nice then a small club house and bar not been since is it good for kids ?
we have used ladys mile at dawlish if we have the grandchildren
2 adults and 3 kids and electric £20 that includes indoor and outdor pool and evening entertainment for all ages.
if you think normal swimming pool admition anywhere is anything up to £6 per sesion for an hour or so so 20 quid for the site for five of us including the pool all day and entertainment is reasonable

Well,Terry, a couple of years ago I would have given Sandy Bay a wide burst(Twas a bit rough) but now it's been taken over by Park Resorts ,it's much better,The young staff go out their way to entertain the kids and as you know, when the kids are happy, It makes life much easier for us:rolleyes:

booked

Finally decided what to do this weekend. Weather looks good, so booked into a CL we last used 3 years ago. It is just down the road from a herb garden near Tibshelf, Derbyshire and situated within an hour of home. We will have most of the 3.5 acres to ourselves for a fiver a night. Main reason is that I need to load/unload the Harley from the trailer in privacy in case I make a mess of it! Don't want an audiance for the first time do I. Our intention is to park up, unroll the awning, put our the deck chairs and in my case get the malt out.

Whatever you are doing, have a safe and good time this weekend.

Jon
