We,ve booked into Sandy Bay campsite that weekend, it's a commercial site, but the wife likes it,as do the kids.
It's only about 20 miles away so a bit less stressfull of a weekend away and the saving on fuel will go towards the next big one (Hayfield).
I have to accept that with my family situation, I have to mix it with campsites ,cheap and cheerfulls, and wildcamping, but they do say that variety is the spice of life
i think most of us do have to use sites sometimes especialy us with familys i used to live at sandy bay in my static then about 30 years ago only for 9 months it was nice then a small club house and bar not been since is it good for kids ?
we have used ladys mile at dawlish if we have the grandchildren
2 adults and 3 kids and electric £20 that includes indoor and outdor pool and evening entertainment for all ages.
if you think normal swimming pool admition anywhere is anything up to £6 per sesion for an hour or so so 20 quid for the site for five of us including the pool all day and entertainment is reasonable
