Do we have an exemption certificate? It would be nice in 2011 to have a few community meets so members can meet face to face.
Any ideas or suggestion?
No, I have looked into it and may have one later this year.Do we have an exemption certificate?

I'd be happy to approach a local pub in Bollington, Cheshire, to see if they'd be happy to accommodate some 'vans for a weekend.
The one I have in mind brews its own beer, and is adjacent to the local cricket pitch ...

It doesn't matter whether 'bookings' are made or whether it's individuals or a group, an exemption certificate held by a club means that the owner of the land on which the 'meet' is held will not be contravening planning regulations and the need for a site licence, if the land is not a licenced site.Defra
There have been many meets, and they / we have never had one and if everybody books onto a site an an individual it is not required, wilding as an individual,or a few is probably the same.
Only required if organized events. I think,

It would be up to the pub of course. They might not know or care about planning regulations, site licences etcThanks *****
If I asked the pub here to accommodate a few motorhomes for a weekend, I wouldn't have thought such a certificate would be needed ...
Both big clubs have Temporary Holiday sites around the country. They are basic, with a fresh water supply and waste disposal point. We stayed on a couple last year and liked them. They could be a good base for a meet or two but you would have to be a club member. I am dropping my CC membership but keeping the C&CC one just for these THS's and 5 van sites.
Hi All,
I would like to put forward Aberystwyth as a good place to get people together if you live on the western side of England or indeed in wales itself. The promenade is always a great place to stay at any time of year and you're only a minute walk from the town, which is lovely. Lots of bars and restaurants too !.
