Our beloved Camper van, Frank, is for sale.

He is a 1991 Frankia conversion (renowned German make) based on a Mitsubishi L300 diesel van (parts easy to get wherever you are in the world) and is left hand drive, perfect for your European summer trip. He has real character and not the usual fridge looking motor home.

We bought him a year ago to do a trip around France, and he didn't miss a beat.
He drives really well, not the quickest of cats, but he will cruise at 60, and has a turning circle which puts small cars to shame. He is also a bit of a tardis, remarkably small externally given the space you get inside.

He has 4 berths in two double beds (each would take 3 kids), one above the cab, and the rear dining area also converts.

Good points

Good sized bathroom/toilet, easily enough space to use as a changing room ( I have managed to get in an out of a wetsuit in there many times)

3 Way fridge with small freezer compartment (works from 12v/240v/gas)

Two ring gas hob

Loads of cupboard space for provisions, and crockery. Cutlery drawer. Big under seat storage lockers.

Fiamma Bike Rack

Fiamma Awning - The end plate has been damaged but the awning still works.

Roof rack with access ladder

Gas heater with central heating fan (blows hot air around the van through ducts, even in the bathroom)

New Alternator
New leisure battery
New Internal water pump

He has full MOT and only needed a blowing exhaust and a few light bulbs to go through this year. He is not taxed.

There are a few not so good points, all of which we bought him with and haven't stopped us enjoying him.

As mentioned, awning end plate is damaged
One window is cracked, it is watertight!
One window doesn't open.
Water heater doesn't work but water system works perfectly (shower bathroom and kitchen). We used a solar shower all last year and it was perfect (this is included in the sale). The water heater could easily be sorted but it never really bothered us as we have only been away in him during the summer.
The main door to the rear only locks from the inside.
None of these issues stopped us from doing a 1600 mile trip last summer, it was a pleasure !!

Obviously being 20+ years old he has a few bumps and marks, but overall is in pretty good condition.

Please let me know if you need more photo's, I have loads!

Any questions please ask.
