15 days in London

Hi everyone!
Sorry to bother, but we really need help.
We're planning to play in London from 1st to 15th of May to promote our album, as we're travelling all across Europe.
By the way, it seems that camping in London is far from beeing cheap, considering both camping sites and the LEZ fee (our caravan is a '88...).
So the question is: is there a cheap way to camp outside the LEZ? Is free camping allowed in UK?
We really need help, otherwise our European Tour budget will rais above every expectation!!

Regards

hi , if you have a Caravan it is exempt from the LEZ as only engines are affected by the zone as it is based on engine emissions, so if a Caravan it will have a tow car and that falls into a different category, Camping is by far the cheapest option for London stays compared to Hotels etc. I don't know off hand of any sites near to London , but will watch this thread as others are sure to post and if they don't I will troll through my books and post what I find.Abbey Wood, Crystal Palace , Waltham on Thames and Chertsey sites are all ones we have used for London in the past.

There are plenty of cheaper CL/CS sites around London.

For the last few years they have been booked solid by construction workers on Olympic sites. There should be spaces nowadays.

Hi
One of the cheapest sites is Willow farm campsite which is about eight miles from the centre of London to the East. It is in the middle of Epping Forest.
They don't have a website but the contact details are on this site....Willow Farm in Essex

Just outside the campsite is a great pub called The Owl.
The only downside is it is near the Met Police Helicopter base.

It seems it has the same features as "the elm camp site". The elms asks for abouat 28,5 £ per night (as we're travelling in three people).
Is this Willow farm OUTSTIDE the LEZ?

exactly what vehicle do you have , how long etc
wild camping is possible in the uk , but very difficult if you are a stranger

but in london? security ? would you leave your vehicle alone in roma ?

and where do you expect to play?

That's a nice warning. Ok, we'll go for a camp site :D

We've 6 venues to play in, mainly in zone 1&2, that's why we eventuallly decided for the Sewardstone camping, as it provides bus to the nearest underground station.

Yes, we know: we're a little crazy :)
