Hi guys

have seen a thread some where but can't remember where or when. anyway
i need a 12volt in and 12v out stabilizer for my new tv, (12v 5amp), have already found and ordered a 4pin din power plug, but want to fit a stabilizer into feed, as these tv's don't like 13v and above, so worried may make it poorly when on charge.

anyone know where cheap 12volt feed stabilizers are
thanks

12 Volt Stabiliser / Regulator - a must for anyone who owns a 12v TV!! | eBay

The easy way to find previous threads about them is to type "12v stabiliser" into the search box at the top of this page. :goodluck:

I think mine is the same as yours and has a 4 pin conection to the set and all the stabilizers I've seen are 2.8mm single pin,or jack type. I need a stabiliser as well so will keep looking. I shall let you know if find one and you can do likewise.

Try the RS one. I will have a look in the van for Part No in the morning. Please PM me when I forget:)

Forgive me if I seem thick, but my electrical knowledge runs to how to depress an on/off switch.
BUT, the plug going into my tele has four pins and that says to me four wires conected. Right? the stabiliser ion sale at flea bay has a jack type plug which says to me just two wires conected. Right?? what happens to the other two wires???
Yes I am serious.

went in to maplins, they told me they don't do them, look on the internet?

donkey too

it confuses the hell out of me too. I did find a drawing which showed which pins were used can't find it at the minute, but they showed only two pins used. (have to admit I haven't yet put a meter onto the pins in the supplied ac-dc adapter, daft innit) but will as soon as i get the time.
anyway if that is the case then its just the case of cutting and soldering wires on. I think.

fingers crossed
