12 v Television and Aerial

Thought I would share this gem of a find. TV from Tesco Direct. No advertised as a 12volt but it is. You need to buy the 12v adapter yourself elsewhere (link below), or make one if you know how. It has all you would expect of a modern TV. HDMI, USB, Built in DVD and Freeview. Also PC connection. Only slight downside is sound a bit distorted , but I can live with it.

To complement it I bought an aerial (link below), Cheap as chips, tiny and it WORKS. Was very sceptical about the reveiws, but thought it was worth risking less than a tenner to try it. Fantastic. Works well in the South. Haven't been North with it yet. But I think its worth a try. To think, I nearly paid £35.00 for one which needs its own power source.

You could use a coax cable extension to any length required

I got a 24" Cello tv from Direct tv's at Huddersfield they are slightly cheeper but I dont know about postage as I collected living nearby. I then went to Maplin & got a 12v fused plug. A bonus is they are goot tv's & are all British made.

Is there a socket for speakers? .

It's got a headphone socket so it's possible to use that for external speakers.I have an Avtex and connect a cable(3.5mm jack) from the headphone socket to the aux in of the stereo head unit,it works well.
