We are back. 10 weeks touring Morocco. We took the car as I'd broken the motorhome just before we left. We did about half and half tent camping & accommodation. Camping cost a third of accommodation, circa £300 / £900. But the car was averaging 55mpg, and some trips 62mpg, so we saved some on diesel. The car gave us access to city centres and rough roads, so we both felt having the car enhanced our trip. The mountains were just stunning.
10 weeks was plenty long enough and neither of us can see any reason to return. Fortunately, we don't need to do the Schengen shuffle.

The first time I went to Morocco I said I wouldn't be back, that's not changed! BUT always worth a first visit.
Looks like you have covered all of it in your trip, semi roughing 👍 it and more accessible with a car. I have started more shorter trips in the car, with the inconvenience of parking and transport in a large motorhome, or worry of towing the toad. The scooter hasn't been out of the garage for 2 years now, maybe time to downsize.
Off to pick up your newly repaired van now?

Am I the only one trying to swipe to start a screen shot…….

Glad you had a good time. I really like Morocco and have had 3 really good trips. I back pack in the late winter, early spring and found the trains and busses good. I can see that having your own car would be an advantage. My max is 5 weeks.

Is there anything to swipe to? I cannot get anything to happen?

The first time I went to Morocco, in 2002, I said exactly the same.
I have been back 10 times since....

What car did you take? Great mpg.
lol, never say never!
Turkey in 2025 for us.

61 plate Merc C220, been around the clock, heavy load, but didn’t miss a beat.

Is Ricks Café still there? (Just watching Casablanca :) )
Yes, but a strict dress code! A whole video on what is allowed. They’ve standards, don’t you know and we didn’t match up!
It was created in 2008, I think, by an American lady, along the lines of the film, so not original.

Repaired MH was delivered to a site near my Aged Ps. Both engine and lithiums totally flat. But not had time to sort. Will move to a site with EHU on 3rd and see what happens.
Services and MOT on 6th, if it needs the professionals.

24 hrs on ehu sorted lithiums.
Hab and minor engine service done yesterday.
MOT passed advisory on brake discs, seems pads replaced over worn discs!
Spent our first night in the mh last night. All seems to be working. 😊

Back to Devon in the car to sort a house we're selling for a few days and will book Tunnel / Ferry for 17th. Yay!
Back to Crete and Turkey in the summer.
