We are lucky enough to live in this area and often just go for a "one nighter" at Lossie, fish and chips are always compulsory ! The cafe on West Beach ( by the golf club) has just changed hands and is getting great reviews.
You can get fantastic sunsets along this coastline.
Insurance underwriters use age "brackets" for premium calculation, it could well be that you and your wife fall into two different brackets. I wouldn't worry about you No Claims Bonus, most brokers or insurers will "mirror" the bonus from another vehicle you are insured on.
I've been riding for over 60 years, plenty "offs" during the early years but I always ride as though every other road user either can't see me or is out to kill me. Even so one car driver managed to hit me in the rear 3 years ago ! I still do road training as often as possible and hope to...

Spent many a happy night sleeping in an Austin Maxi the seats converted into a double bed.
Our first "proper" motorhome was a 1990 Elddis Autostratus, purchased unseen in 1992 and a brilliant introduction into the lifestyle. Ran it for 8 years and sold it for £500 more than we paid.

Used to stop at a CL in the highlands years ago where something very similar was used, the contents were then "recycled" by the farmer.
