We did too. Totally set up for tourists. Beggars. More expensive menus. Cheap samey tat in the markets. Would recommend anyone to avoid.
  2. Corsica - Sardinia - Sicily have you been there?

Sicily is large with lots of historic sites and places to visit. We spent 3 months there! 10 days totally insufficient. Sardinia is absolutely fine for wilding. Corsica has beautiful scenery but all the restaurants had virtually the same menu (early summer). Used campsites and whole vibe...
  3. Caravans give you more freedom than motorhomes.

To be controversial... we found being in the car touring Morocco was better than being in the motorhome. We travelled roads with amazing scenery that we would not have been able to in the motorhome.

  11. DVLA C1 retention with medical condition(s)

James had a similar situation a few years ago. He was borderline on peripheral vision on the eye test. But Specsavers did the test 3 times till they thought it ok. We'd gone abroad thinking everything in hand. DVLA asked for a specialist test. We couldn't get the specific test in Greece so sent...

  19. 10 weeks Morocco

We are back. 10 weeks touring Morocco. We took the car as I'd broken the motorhome just before we left. We did about half and half tent camping & accommodation. Camping cost a third of accommodation, circa £300 / £900. But the car was averaging 55mpg, and some trips 62mpg, so we saved some on...
