I'm a new user to the free Navmii satnav app and free maps for any country including free updates forever. I've run it in parallel with my older tomtom and compared each journey with good results. It's easy to use, has loads of options including safety camera alerts and traffic information etc...
Yes I agree and there are so many hinges on this device that you can position it totally out of the way of your driving view it's just brilliant. Highly recommend.

i recently found a use for the folding clipboard on my Peugeot Boxer motorhome only to find I don't have one. Apparently all vehicles fitted with a passenger airbag can't have one. I will have to find another solution to mount my android satnav. Doh
I would second that. Whilst we mostly wild camp, I have to admit that occasionally I do enjoy getting the awning and chairs out, relax and read a book (or fall asleep)😄
I fully agree. I prefer to let the satnav take me into the unknown as we always see more and discover little gems of villages on our travels. I don't mind being on narrow lanes and even coming across low bridges that I can't get under. I don't mind reversing out of sticky situations or doing 3...
I had a garmin camper for 4 months. I oversized the motorhome dimensions as I picked up this tip in a previous thread and set off to France and Spain. There are many positive points to garmin satnavs and I liked the ease of use, but when it came to the main reason for buying it it let me down...
