As your not mechanically minded, get into reputable independent garage. A quick resistance check on glow plugs will tell if it's plug or power supply.

Chains every time.
Bought auto socks, not that easy to fit and far less effective than chains.
Plus chains will work in mud too.
On a large heavy motorhome, one heavy braking episode will total auto socks on anything but snow.
The only use of my inverter is to run the bosses hair straighteners first thing in the morning. It's better to have Happy than Grumpy about, don't see any of the other dwarves about mind :unsure:

From your photo, a small bolt with a couple of nuts will sort it.
The two nuts tightened against each other will lock them in place, leaving free play on the actuator.
Mine are on separate lines. If I close the two valves a leak will only be on one side.
If you have the same two valve set up you can tell which side the leak is on. This will cut your searching in half 👍
