😆 Grew up under canvas! Had 7 tents at one point as inherited some when my Aged Ps handed in their tent pegs in their 70s. J less keen, but if cold we will go into accommodation!

Our issue is we are ex Pats. Only 2 brokers deal with ex Pats. One will insure the motorhome, the other, the car ... bizarre. So we are stuck with them. However, as an exiting client, based on today's prices, they reckon about £1500, so just over a 50% increase. At least, it's affordable!

Never spotted any hook ups. Tends to be a tatty small boat on this route. Only Anek offer proper camping on board where you stay in your van, which has ehu. However, I heard that is stopping.

So finally the insurers have agreed a repair. Happy dance! They have a place near Rochdale and have sent pix to obtain a quote. A long way from Chichester still, but closer than Inverness. Either way, a write off is not on the cards. I also pressed the insurance broker ... probably about 50%...

We can't thank you enough. Fraser must have a reputation as the insurance chap had found him too. Should hear back from Ageas if they are OK to sign off the work within 48 hours. Reckon Frasers part <£10k , plus new air suspension, lasers and transport. Less than £25k which is a lot less than...

Yes, the chap in charge of the repair/ write off at Halo is waiting for a reply from Goldschmidt about how to shore up so it doesn't happen again. Was going at about 50. But the presence of cones there indicate others had had an issue. Know Stonehenge well!

Update 2 Fraser of Fraser Eng is such a lovely man. I asked the insurers to send me pix of bent chassis rails to send to him. Received the images this morning and they had already been sent to Fraser! Despite of being the other end of the country the insurer, we'll Halo, who have been given...

REALLY BAD NEWS Motorhome was low loaded about 9.00. Just heard from repair .... bent chassis rails. Likely to be a write off. I feel sick. Apparently, the air suspension attaches to the chassis rails and they become a weak point. Chap said the rails could have bent when I went off the road or...

Yes, stayed there a few times. Have seen police come around to tell folk to take in chairs etc. Some good tavernas in town and a lovely fish one along the coast in Nea Kios.
