Just renewed the insurance with a new company. Went through the list & it came up with a long list of Dethleffs motorhomes where you ring them, all others they were quoting through the site. Has anyone com across this, is there a problem?

Sorry I have amended it. The list was only Dethleffs that they wouldn't quote through the site you had to ring them. It may come of the back of one that went up in flames

On a similar theme we are looking at buying a Ford Tourneo Custom and Tesco Insurance said that was not in their lists so it must be a special vehicle o_O

We have just sold one, even though I am not a ford fan, I did find it nice to drive, and a very handy vehicle.
As I am guessing you are wanting it for a day van. Have you looked at the Mercedes Marco Polo ?
There are 2 versions one with cooker and sink etc, and one without but a wider seat/ bed.
And the same size as the ford.
