Shamrock Diaries

Done a few trips alone, but more part trips on my own. Much prefer the them leaving earlier option than me leaving alone and then picking them up at an airport or where ever. Much easier to drop people off than pick them up.

Aren't Flexi tickets a fair bit more £? Haven't booked a return ticket for years.

Not enough price difference to make it prohibitive, Mark 🤷‍♀️

Only booked flexi for the return voyage. Outward journey I'm on a deadline to get to the housesit, so fixed sailing date isn't a problem.
Worth it for the flexibility, especially in this particular case (y)

The local wildcampers are a great bunch and a source of wisdom, where to go, where not to go, and upcoming events.
Then there's @trevskoda .
So generous with his advice and liable to down tools and join you.
Wild Atlantic Way, is a must do.

Trev is a definite plus for any trip to Ireland, Paul! 👌🤗

We sort of did most of the North West leg of the Wild Atlantic Way last spring - had Mediterranean weather too! 🌞☀️✌️

Looks like a good plan, a tad brutal ? for Him Indoors but needs must and a practical solution.
Time is tricky, I like a longish period so I can go slow and really get to know a place however I was quite surprised, on one trip, when I got really home sick in the middle of a 2 month trip.
My main fear with Ireland is that it will rain the whole time but I wish you a great trip and happy exploring.
